How does refer a friend work?
It's super easy - just email hello@edfenergy.com to request your unique referral link and get sharing! When anyone signs up using your referral link, in line with our terms and conditions, you’ll both receive £50 credit on your EDF account.

FAQs
Is there a limit to the number of people I can refer and where can I share by referral link?
No! You'll earn a reward for every friend that signs up, so why stop at just one? Keep referring, keep earning!
Once you have your link, get sharing! You can email it, Whatsapp it, share it on your socials - whatever works best for you.
However, there are a few restrictions on who you share your referral link to and how you share your referral link. Please see our formal terms and conditions for more information.
When will I receive my credit?
Once your friend has successfully switched to us and their first Direct Debit has been paid, we’ll automatically credit £50 to both of your EDF accounts. It typically takes around four weeks from when your friend joins for your account to be credited (although it can take longer if anything delays their switch). We will send you both an email to let you know that the credit has been applied to your EDF account.
What if my friend doesn’t switch straight away?
If your friend uses your referral link but is unsure if they want to switch straight away, they will be emailed a copy of their quote from us so they can review it in their own time and decide to switch later if they want to. If they decide they want to go ahead with their switch, then they will need to complete a new quote using your referral link, this way you’ll both receive the credit automatically. If your friend forgets to use your referral link, please contact us and we can apply the account credit manually, once their first Direct Debit payment has been taken (in line with our terms and conditions).
What if I have a Prepayment or Pay As You Go meter?
You can still share your referral link, just contact us once you receive the email confirming your £50 has been applied to your account and we can arrange to send the credit to your meter.
