The PensionBee Refer a Friend terms
PLEASE READ THESE REFERRAL TERMS CAREFULLY.
This “Agreement” (these referral terms together with the other documents referred to in it) sets out the terms which govern our referral program (“Referral Program”). Please read this Agreement carefully before you use our Referral Program. By using our Referral Program, you confirm that you accept this Agreement and that you agree to comply with it. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, you must not use our Referral Program.
1. Referrals
1.1. Subject to your compliance with the terms of this Agreement, PensionBee shall make a pension contribution to your PensionBee pension (“Pension Contribution Reward”) if you meet the Referral Program requirements (as in force at that time).
1.2. You may use the Referral Program by sharing a unique link.
1.3. Provided you meet the requirements (as in force at that time), you are entitled to a Pension Contribution Reward each time you meet such requirements.
1.4. You must have a PensionBee Account and access to your unique link within the BeeHive to use the Referral Program.
1.5. You must be eligible for tax relief and in compliance with all applicable tax limits to use the Referral Program.
2. Pension contribution reward and requirements
2.1. A Pension Contribution Reward Consists of:
(i) A £80 pension contribution from PensionBee
(ii) £20 in associated tax relief from HMRC
2.2. The Pension Contribution Reward is paid once the friend has successfully opened an account and added £100 to it through either a completed transfer or a contribution of at least £100.
2.3. It can take six months or more for a Pension Contribution Reward to be credited following the successful completion of a transfer or contribution of £100 or more.
2.4 The Pension Contribution Reward is paid when both the referrer and the friend have a balance of at least £100 in their PensionBee account.
3. Prohibited uses
3.1. You may only use our Referral Program in good faith for lawful purposes. You may not:
(i) create more than one account in order to invite yourself;
(ii) invite others that have created duplicate accounts;
(iii) use alternative contact information to refer yourself or others that have created duplicate accounts;
(iv) invite members that you do not know personally, if you do so in a way that (in PensionBee’s sole and absolute opinion) constitutes spam or other undesirable or unsolicited communications;
(v) invite an existing customer of PensionBee;
(vi) invite fictitious persons;
(vii) do anything that damages PensionBee’s brand, goodwill or reputation;
(viii) use this program to refer more than 50 persons to PensionBee.
(ix) use the Referral Program in: (i) any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation; or (ii) any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or has any unlawful or fraudulent purpose or effect;
(x) transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam); or
(xi) otherwise attempt to circumvent this Agreement or the Referral Program.
3.2. Any obligation on you not to do something includes an obligation not to allow that thing to be done.
4. Data protection
4.1. You represent and warrant to us that you have obtained the express consent from the individuals whose data you provide us with, to the extent you provide us with such data.
4.2. If you have been referred to PensionBee by a friend and are signing up or have signed up to our service using that friend’s referral link, we will share your name and information regarding your pension transfer for the purposes of you and your friend claiming the relevant reward(s).
5. Abuse of the referral terms
5.1. PensionBee has the right to refuse to pay you the Pension Contribution Reward if (at its sole and absolute discretion) PensionBee suspects that you have not used the Referral Program in good faith or have breached this Agreement.
5.2. We will determine, at our sole and absolute discretion, whether there has been a breach of this Agreement. When a breach of this Agreement has occurred, PensionBee may take such action as we deem appropriate, including (but not limited to) termination of this Agreement, clawing back of Pension Contribution Rewards, closing your account(s), closing third party account(s) and suspending the Referral Program.
5.3. This program is not intended for commercial use and is intended only for the referral of your friends (and family). PensionBee will only pay any individual referral fees for a maximum of 50 successful referrals under this Program.
6. Limitation of liability
PensionBee accepts no liability for any use of the Referral Program which does not comply with this Agreement.
7. Changes to this agreement
We may revise this Agreement at any time by amending this page. Continued use of the Referral Program shall amount to acceptance of the Agreement in force at that time.
8. Changes to the referral program
PensionBee reserves the right to:
(i) amend, alter or change the Referral Program at any time, without notice; and
(ii) terminate the Referral Program at any time, without notice. In the event the Referral Program is terminated, PensionBee will not be obliged to make Pension Contribution Rewards to any accounts that would have otherwise qualified for a Pension Contribution Reward.
9. Applicable law
9.1. This Agreement and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
9.2. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this agreement or its subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
